Classmate Profiles


 

Deceased classmates have been moved to the In Memoriam section of the website.  Click HERE for a list of those classmates.  With those exceptions, every senior classmate that appeared in the 1960 ANNONA has a profile here. Please follow the instructions below to find or create your profile and update your information.  If, after reading the instructions, you are not able to access your profile, go ahead and create a new one and it will be merged with the old one.  

1) Type your LAST name into the "search" box found below in the center of the page and enter.  When your profile appears, you will see a notation on the right: "Is this You? Fill in your profile here."  Click on "here" and a Registration Form will appear.  Note:  The default listing is by "name at graduation" and enter LAST name only, which for the ladies would be your maiden name.  Please try to edit from the existing profile unless you did not appear in the graduating class in the 1960 ANNONA.

2) Choose a Username and Password.  Both will be required if you need to edit your profile in the future so you should make a note of them.  (If you forget, you can be sent a reminder through the website.)

3) Complete the registration form.  Note: The website administrator has access to all of the information on the registration form, but none of your personal information will appear on the website unless you want it to. 

4) Upload a recent ("now") photo to your profile by clicking on the "browse" or "choose file" button that appears below "now"  and locate the image on your computer.

5) You must click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the form to save the changes.

Comment: President of local dental society; Post-grad studies, L. D. Pankey Institute.  Church Elder. Successful Amway business.  Traveled North America and Europe.  Ran one marathon (Huntsville 4.06), many 5/10 K.  Bowhunting:  various trophies, including black bear.  Woodworking:  furniture and various projects and keepsake toys for grandkids.  Horse ranch:  raise and trail-ride Peruvian horses - gaited.  Music:  songwriter; 8 years bluegrass  band (banjo, guitar).  Currently praise team church guitar.  Also play dobro fiddle/violin.  Greatest remaining goal:  World's Greatest Granddaddy!!

Things I like: 

1.  Classical music   plus   I sing in The Kirkland Chorale Society (Alto 1) - in May  - Missa Solemnis by Beethoven.  2.  Gardening   3.  Reading   4.  My friends.   5.  History - love the Seattle Art Museum.  6. Working on my computer -  spreadsheets etc   7. Decorating   8.  Flower arranging   9.  Love my grandson, Andrew, who lives in Brooklyn NY.  10.  Films - particularly foreign and independent.  and last but not least   11.  I love the classical pipe organ  -  reminds me of Jack Morrison playing the organ at the First Methodist Church in Pensacola in the 1950's - glorious.

Comment: After graduation I  joined the Army Reserve.  Came home and went to work at Chemstrand while attending PJC as a lab technician.  Was there for 20 years.  In July of 1962, married Juanita (Nita) Waldrop.  If she had lived until July of 2012, we would have been married for 50 years.  We had three children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.  In 1990, I moved to Century to manage Church's Chicken, both in Flomaton and Atmore.  Retired in 2005 to take care of my wife who had a stroke and was bedridden.  I now work in my church teaching Sunday school along with working in my woodworking shop and on my computer.

Comment:

Graduated from FSU, B of Science in Nursing, returned to Pensacola, worked at Baptist Hosp.  Met Tom Kinder (Yankee from Ohio) who was in naval flight training, married (Southern Baptist marries Catholic!) in 1966, moved to Whidbey Island, Washington. Tom went on 2 tours of Vietnam flying P-2s.  I moved to Cavite City, Phillipines for 3 mos.  He was hired by Delta Airlines, we lived in Miami and then Atlanta. Flew for 33 years, now retired.  I worked in nursing until '93 when I got my real estate license, still working with Coldwell Banker in Roswell.  We were blessed with the most wonderful children (son Sean, wife and twin grand girls live in Winston-Salem, daughter Kirsten, husband and two grand daughters reside in Vero Beach, Fl). So blessed to have traveled all over the world! Love going to our vacation home in Winter Park, Colorado.



Adore being with our grand kids, the lights of our lives. Must add, I am a most grateful survivor of ovarian cancer. Classmates have those yearly checkups!!
