Classmate Profiles

Deceased classmates have been moved to the In Memoriam section of the website.  Click HERE for a list of those classmates.  With those exceptions, every senior classmate that appeared in the 1960 ANNONA has a profile here. Please follow the instructions below to find or create your profile and update your information.  If, after reading the instructions, you are not able to access your profile, go ahead and create a new one and it will be merged with the old one.

1) Type your LAST name into the "search" box found below in the center of the page and enter.  When your profile appears, you will see a notation on the right: "Is this You? Fill in your profile here."  Click on "here" and a Registration Form will appear.  Note:  The default listing is by "name at graduation" and enter LAST name only, which for the ladies would be your maiden name.  Please try to edit from the existing profile unless you did not appear in the graduating class in the 1960 ANNONA.

2) Choose a Username and Password.  Both will be required if you need to edit your profile in the future so you should make a note of them.  (If you forget, you can be sent a reminder through the website.)

3) Complete the registration form.  Note: The website administrator has access to all of the information on the registration form, but none of your personal information will appear on the website unless you want it to.

4) Upload a recent ("now") photo to your profile by clicking on the "browse" or "choose file" button that appears below "now"  and locate the image on your computer.

5) You must click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the form to save the changes.

If you need help, please access the CONTACT US page found on the menu bar to the left, to ask for assistance.

Spouse's Name: Charlotte Ashley Cook

JULIA ANN COOPER (RICHARDSON)

Marital status: Married
Occupation: Retired--FL Department of Law Enforcement
Comment: After graduation, entered FL State Univ. where I met & married Phillip, a 1960 Escambia High grad. With degree in elem.ed./Eng., I taught 4th grade at Montclair Elem. in Pensacola for several yrs., but after our 2 sons were born, I stayed home for 10 yrs.  Phillip's work took us to Tallahassee,FL, where we have lived ever since. Phillip retired after 37 yrs. with the FL Dept. of Corrections; I retired the same day after 27 yrs. with the FL Dept. of Law Enforcement.  He was ready to retire and said the magic words, "It won't be fun without you." Our older son, Murray, a computer guru with Fl Dept. of Ed. & his wife Beth, a teacher, have a precious, much longed for, little boy. They live about a mile from us.  Our younger son Will, a physician specializing in Internal Med. in Thomasville, GA (30 miles from us) & his wife Tricia, a speech therapist but stay at home mom, have 2 dear little girls.  We have had a wonderful life & have enjoyed just about every day of it. A beloved daughter-in-law's (Dawn) death in 1999 from multiple myeloma brought family sadness outside the natural order of grief from loss of parents, but generally life has been good.  Specifically, we are very active in our church, are rabid FSU football fans, have had many great trips since retiring in 2000, go often to our vacation home on Crystal Lake near Panama City, FL, play chickenfoot (a domino game) with 2 diff. groups, walk 2 miles every morning (Phillip walks 2 more every afternoon), we go dancing at least twice a week, and drop everything at the chance to be with either our children or grandchildren.  We both love to read & are news junkies.  I enjoy playing the piano every day, crossword puzzles, & sudoku.  We attended the 45th Reunion & had a wonderful time. We're hoping the same 50's DJ will be avail. for at least one of the reunion events.  Mary, Art, Joelle, I have so enjoyed catching up with all the news of our classmates.  Thank you for your hard work.  We are looking forward to the reunion. Yes, "when I was 17, it was a very good year," but at 67, I would invite all our young friends & children to follow another poet (Minnie Ruth Bailey),"Come up higher, the air is rarer; the sky is bluer, come up higher."  As you can see I still love literature, but the best I can do on my own is, "It don't get any better than this on earth."

"When I was 17, it was a very good year..", but now I agree with Browning,"Grow old along with me the best is yet to be.  The last of life for which the first was made."
